The SMC 8524T is an unmanaged switch, so this isn't possible. :-( http://www.smc.com/index.cfm?action=products_show_description&productCode=SMC8524T "jumbo frame support of up to 9K" - doesn't work even with an MTU of 1501 :-( By coincidence I've just had to enable jumbo frames on a Dell PowerConnect 5324 switch, which needs the "port jumbo-frame" setting done in its IOS config, and I can confirm that the nodes I want to use work fine with an MTU of 9000 on that switch now, just not the SMC. :-( cheers, Chris -- Christopher Samuel - (03)9925 4751 - VPAC Systems & Network Admin Victorian Partnership for Advanced Computing http://www.vpac.org/ Bldg 91, 110 Victoria Street, Carlton South, VIC 3053, Australia -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
