[Beowulf] Tyan 2466 crashes, no obvious reason why

hi ya when these problems occurs ... ( in identical systems built out of the same batch of mb, cpu, mem, disks ) ... we usually just swap the memory sticks .. the problem tend to follow the memory stick ( always good to have spare parts floating around :-) memtest's reliability is teh equivalent of "the purfect hamburger you might get at McDonalds" ( memtest is worthless as far as the folks that sell memory sticks is concerned ... don't mention memtest, and they will probably replace the bad memory ... mentioning it will get us laughed out of the rma process ) c ya alvin On Fri, 3 Sep 2004, David Mathog wrote: > One of 20 identical nodes containing > > Tyan 2466 > Single Athlon MP 2200+ > 1GB ECC memory > > is starting to flake out. ..
