Hi, > Is it possible to have a compute node PXE boot a distro > mounted in the CD on the headnode? I don't know about the PLD Linux, but it's at least possible to boot from a installation (into a directory in the server) all the nodes. Depending on the setup of PXE, you can just boot via nfs (and this is before lilo has any job to to - this would cover your case), install the local harddisk or boot from the local harddisk. You need this: http://syslinux.zytor.com/ i.e. PXELINUX Cheers - Reuti
