[Beowulf] About Beowulf in general

A human and a flatworm are both just certain configurations of a bunch
of different genes, right?  So why does one spout poetry and the other
wiggle through the ooze?

As far as the name goes, Becker et. al. are poetically literate (having
the more complex arrangement of those simple genes).
