One other thing to try is to disable auto-negotiation on your switch. If the gigabit switch takes longer to negotiate the connection settings than NFS is willing to wait, the links will fail. Manually setting the switch ports could fix things in that case. Good luck, Vann Vann Walke Presearch, Inc.
