Hi,
I started to work with GNU/Linux clusters in 1998. Since then I
built four different clusters (here we work with Energy and Weather Forecast
parallel problems). In the last cluster that I installed, in final of 2001,
I used 16 PC's, Asus A7A266 motherboards ( I had very good price) and
Athlons 1.2 GHz in a Diskless System using Linux Mandrake 8.0. In this case
I had many problems with heat and stability problems with the motherboard
A7A266, the result was that I spent much time to get a good stability to
this system.
Now I will build another cluster and I have a very good price
(again!) to Intel 845GERG2L motherboard. Do you have any comments about this
motherboard?
Thanks,
Daniel Dotta
