For a cluster switch I suggest a cheap, unmanaged switch. Managed
switches are not really necessary for this application and have the
risk of lower performance in heavy-load situations.

We made good experiences with Allied Telesyn CentreCom switches in the
8-24 ports range (e.g. the 742i).
