Gabriel,
Can't speak for the Linksys card, but I've had good experiences w/ Intel
gigabit ethernet.  I'd love to give you the model #, but it's from IBM,
so it's their model #'s.  It runs off the e1000 kernel module, though,
and handles our NFS load quite well.
