So, even by your definition, the answer to the question "Do I have to use
Linux?" doesn't explicitly have to be "yes", even if we are specifically
discussing Beowulf clusters.  This was the original question and answer
that provoked my response.

By your definition, a PC-cluster running NT would be a Beowulf, since NT
is pretty much a commodity item by any definition!
