gigabit ethernet configuration (acenic and redhat 7)

just a follow-up to say that i got it working by compiling a more recent
version of the acenic driver (specifically, acenic-0.47.tgz). (note: the
acenic.tar.tgz link on jes' acenic driver page doesn't point to the most
current release.)

i unpacked it in /usr/src/linux-2.2.16/ which rolled it into the drivers/net
subdirectory. then, i merely used (rh7-patched) gcc (& libs) to compile with
the stock compile command listed at the end of acenic.c.
