Unable to bring slaves into up mode from unavailable.

Sorry I have new information affter trying something.

I found that in the docs they have the /dev/hda1 mount of beoboot commented
out.  After commenting this out I rebooted node 0 and I get this in the boot log
file.  It looks like it is having problems doing an fsck on the disk partitions.

The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2
filesystem.  If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2
filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock
is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock:
    e2fsck -b 8193 <device>
