I figured this would be the right place to ask. Has anyone here used CUDA or AMD Stream on toy physics engines, like ODE? I know parallelization has been tackled http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~mpa/ode/final_report.html but I can't find anything about GPGPU approaches. In general, did you find AMD or nVidia architecture a better match? What is the system size one can expect to fit in 1 GByte card memory, without swapping to and from main memory?
