For example, all quantum chemistry codes that use a molecular orbital expansion to represent the wave function (the electronic structure) rely heavily on a good DGEMM implementation (this includes programs like GAUSSIAN, DALTON, MOLPRO, TURBOMOLE, etc... the list is endless).
