Speaking of render farms with 3D Studio Max, Autodesk has a "how to" at the following location: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=5581724&linkID=5573345 Apparently, if you own a full version of 3DSMax, you don't need additional licenses to run the renderer portion of the software on additional machines and 3DSMax can be configured to run across multiple Windows machines; however, you will still need to buy extra Windows licenses for the extra machines. You can find more information on what is available for Linux movies, animation, and 3D rendering at: http://www.linuxmovies.org/software.html The list includes both free and commercial tools that are used by professional studios. Good luck. Brice
