:)  I knew I would find the person/people who use it :)

All kidding aside, it is a good solution if this is part of a process 
that the end users know and ar comfortable with.

I should be able to try this a little later on today/tomorrow when the 
new power supply for the v20z arrives.   If it works the way I expect, 
then I will send a quick note.  It is supposed to work with the 
ipmitools package.
