The cabling in your cluster should be labelled, so you could simply follow the cable and identify the switch port. To get a port number using SNMP, you might start with this script, which works for 3Com switches: http://www.webservertalk.com/archive215-2004-6-253855.html It uses the Perl Net::SNMP module
