Is it possible to mount > two microATX boards side-by-side in a standard 19" > case (1U, 2U, 4U, etc)? yes .. but ... no .. depends on the microatx board, but more than likely, you will not be able to find the "right stuff" for two microatx side by side standard microatx board is 8 to 8.5" wide with 1 or 2 pci slots as ooposed to the giant standard 12" wide microatx standard 1U chassis is 17 - 17.5" wide you will need to move the power supply away from the side of the motherboard to make it fit you can use dc-dc power supply if heating and cooling of the powersupply was an issue you can fit 2 mini-itx motherboard inside a 1U case, but no pci cards for 2U, 3U, 4U .. you will need a custom chassis - you can stack 2 or more motherboards on top of each other or you can use blades ... 10 motherboards per 4U http://www.ITX-Blades.net/gif.blades/4U-BLADE.jpg c ya alvin
