Problem with bz-8 scyld

We had successfully built bz-8 and run parallel jobs. However, the head node was unstable, hanging every few hours. So we went to the scyld site, downloaded and installed all of the updates. Now, the head node is up, but none of the slave nodes will boot completely. They hang in phase 3 with the startup of bpslave daemon. Any insight would be very helpful. Art Edwards
