hi ya zhi what kind of problems ??? i had problems with the promise Tx2..but the ultra100 works fine ( needed to set the DMA bit /usr/sbin/hdparm -d1 /dev/hdXX other potential options.... hdparm -m16 -c1 -d1 -a8 /dev/hdXX otherwise... your other ide controllers... - adpatec, 3ware, etc have fun alvin On Mon, 10 Sep 2001, Zhifeng F.
