But it is part of the standard Perl-5.005 debian package.

 $ dpkg --search /usr/lib/perl5/5.005/Getopt/Long.pm
 perl-5.005: /usr/lib/perl5/5.005/Getopt/Long.pm

Perhaps it was deleted somehow?  Maybe try doing a:
"$ apt-get install perl-5.005 --reinstall"

You should at least copy this file to /tftpboot/systemimager on the
imageserver as it is used in part of the autoinstall process.

If you do these things, then you should be able to run:
"updateclient -autoinstall -server bhead -c eth0"

and everything should work fine.  If it still doesn't work, mail the 
list again.
