Can anyone comment on the DES 5600 or DES 6000 switches from D-Link (for 100bT)? We're considering building a Beowulf of around 128 nodes, using either a FNN (six 64 node neighborhoods via 5600s) or just one switch (the DES 6000). Useful links: http://www.dlink.com/products/switches/des6000/ http://www.dlink.com/products/switches/des5600/ Other suggestions for switches are welcome as well. We're in the "thinking seriously about it" phase, and hope to start settling down on real hardware candidates. Ray Jones Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories - Cambridge Research Lab
